JULY 2010

    Greetings to All MAB Members:

A large number of MAB members attended the BOA International Rally in Branson, MO July
27 - 30, 2011.  The Branson Rally was very nice.  A chance to meet up with old friends and
make a new one or two along the way.  Most of the Rally centered around the local
entertainment that Branson has to offer as well as a fantastic dinner on Friday night.  The
usual BOA ice cream social and business meeting was held and there were many...many door
prizes given away.  Some MAB members had the pleasure of playing a round of golf with the
BOA President, Franz Singer.  All and all, a good attendance with visitors from 8 or 9
chapters and as far away as California.  In attendance from MAB were:  Larry & Jolly
Whitener, Bob & Paula Young, Jerry & Carol Hardacre, Joe & Tommie Nash, Jean & Barb
Zielinski, Gale & Joan Scheller, Melvin & Nancy Coy, Ron & Mickie Alberter, Rick & Kathy
Groves, Dan & Niecy Milner,  Jim & Carolyn Shedenhelm, Tom & Judy Robinson, Herb & Sue
Feltner, Alice, Scott & Jodi Blind and our brand new members, John & Rosemary Weisbruch
from Crystal Lake, IL.  Welcome to John & Rosemary.

There was a discussion about next years International Rally being held in Amana Iowa, at the
"Amana Colonies" attraction.  This will be a BOA and BU combined rally and a much larger
attendance is expected.  The Amana Rally will get back to some good old rally fun with
vendors, seminars, some great food and 3 nights of entertainment and even a golf outing for
those so motivated.  The Mid-America Bounders chapter of BOA will be the host chapter and
information about the rally can be found on our web site at www.mabounders.org.  The page is
under construction so check back often.  As information develops over the next few months,
it will be posted on the BOA web site and BU's web site as well.  Everyone should plan to
attend and make this a grand affair.

Please be advised that the members directory has temporarily been taken off-line.
If you need any information from that directory, please contact one of the Club
 officers.

    May 17 - 20, 2011
    BOA/BU International Rally
    Amana Colonies
    Amana, IA
We are progressing nicely on the planning of this rally.  We have the food finalized with the
hard work of Jerry & Joyce Borkoski.  Entertainment is not completely finalized, but we
have several good possibilities to choose from.   Many other facets are coming together but
we still need everyone to help in other areas.

Joan Clay & Judy Hansen have volunteered to be co-chairs of the Book Sale & Craft Tables.
They are asking anyone who would be willing to donate paperback and hard covered books to
bring them to the rallies.  Hansen’s will collect them and Clay’s will be at the October rally to
pick them up.  The profits from this sale will be donated to our charity for the year 2011 so
they are hoping for a great variety of books for this event.  They have also volunteered to be
in charge of the craft sale so anyone who would like to participate please let Joan know at
acgram926@aol.com and advise her of what kind of craft you would like to sell to the general
public.  Each one will be given a table to use for selling their items.  Each crafter will be in
charge of their own items and will be responsible for their own money.  So lets spread the
word and get some “crafty people.”

Please check the web page at www.mabounders.org/amanarally for updates and needed
    information.

                                         PRESIDENT'S CORNER

The Branson Rally had a different format than most rallies, but was still a success. I want to
thank Tom & Judy Robinson and the Rallyroos Volunteer Chapter for doing a good job with
this rally.  I also want thank Jean and Barbara Zielinski for the cook out that they hosted
for all the MAB members. I was very pleased to see that MAB had the largest number in
attendance with 14 members, and we gained a new member making the total 15.

Looking ahead, I am really excited with the progress of the plans for the BOA/BU
International Rally in May.  We have the entertainment finalized, the food plans are secured,
the schedule is moving along and many other facets are shaping up.  There is still a lot of
work to be done, but the plans are coming along nicely.  If you have not volunteered for a job
thus far, there will be several jobs that will needed during the rally.  I want everyone to
check your area for items that are unique to your area and bring them to the rally for door
    prize baskets.

I have been sending out invitations to new Bounder owners that have bought Bounders from
2008 on to the present.  Anyone that owns a Bounder motor home is welcome to come to this
rally.  If you know of anyone that fits this category, invite them to come.   I will be looking
for a progress report from all committees at the coming rallies.

Carol and I are looking forward to the final three MAB rallies.  The August MOB/MAB rally
should be very interesting at the sand dunes along Lake Michigan.   September at Kentuckiana
is always a nice rally, and the October rally in Elkhart, IN should be a lot of fun with the
    Halloween theme.

Looking forward to seeing all of you at any or all of the final three MAB rallies.

    Happy Boundering,

    Jerry L. Hardacre
