OLD BUSINESS:  BOA/BU MAY 17-20, 2011 INFORMAL UPDATE CONCERNING
COMMITTEES, ETC.

President, Jerry Hardacre stated that this was a very informal discussion regarding
the rally.

Jerry has taken on the task of contacting every new Bounder owner since 2008 and
sending them a letter inviting them to the rally along with a registration form.  He stresses that they
do not have to be a member of BOA or BU to attend the rally.  He is hoping for several responses.

Sue Feltner has volunteered to be our Non-Chapter Coordinator person and to be
the contact with “Non-Chapter and “First Timer” attendees.  When people are registering, Sue will
need a list so a letter of welcome can be sent in advance of the rally via e-mail.  She will have a
specific table at the rally and make contact with them as they arrive.  The goal will be to introduce
them to a chapter in their area.  A suggestion was also made that “First Timers” have an identifying
ribbon hanging from their badge or some prominent way of immediately recognizing them.  Jolly Ann
will look into this.

The entertainment has been secured thanks to Jan Israelson and also the menu for
food has been set (one continental breakfast and two dinners) thanks to Jerry and Joyce Borkoski.
It was suggested that for the continental breakfast be called a “A Taste Of The Amana Colonies.”

Sunday is the suggested arrival time at the Amana Colonies RV Park so we can be
ready to set up the tables, chairs, signs, and receive last minute instructions on Monday.  We will
need all able bodies to help.

Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Tuesday evening and Jerry reported that a
Color Guard has been secured.  A tentative schedule for this evening is as follows:  Welcome, Color
Guard, singing of National Anthems, Introductions, ” Parade of Chapter Flags”, stress the “First
Timers Meeting” to be held on Wednesday morning, and then the entertainment will start at 7:00pm.

CHAPTER FAIR:  All BOA/BU chapters will have the opportunity to have a
display table featuring their chapter and activities at the rally especially geared to the “First
Timers” meeting on Wednesday morning.

The golf carts have been secured by Dick Clay.  The golf outing has been arranged
by Gale Scheller, Daniel & Jean DeRenzy.

                                                                                                   Respectfully submitted,

                                                                                                   Carol Hardacre, Secretary
